Goals for Transforming Bailey’s Crossroads
Bailey’s Crossroads Revitalization Corporation, looking towards the future, has adopted a plan for ensuring that Bailey’s Crossroads will continue to have strong, safe neighborhoods for its residents while creating new business opportunities as the area’s next urban hub.
The Goals:
- Concentration on improving pedestrian safety and access over the next 3 to 5 years.
- Support for the development of a Columbia Pike transit system to assist in improved and safer home to work, shopping, and personal appointment transportation.
- Support for the creation of a Community Development Authority as a financing mechanism for capital improvements such a transit, intersection upgrades, and streetscape beautification.
- Participation in establishing creative, aesthetically pleasing urban design plans for Bailey’s Crossroads.
