PNC Bank

A new PNC Bank branch is under construction in the front parking lot of Crossroads Place in Bailey's Crossroads. Ground breaking occurred in May and the building is tentatively scheduled to open for business in October. Construction and utility relocation will result in occasional lane closures on westbound Leesburg Pike. This project is an improvement for the area because it will replace a parking lot with a landscaped, tax generating business and generate new jobs. The site is located in Crossroads Place directly across the street from Skyline Center.

BJ's Wholesale

BJ's Wholesale Club has submitted a site plan to build a new store on the 8.6 acre site of the old Noland Oil property at 6607 Wilson Boulevard in the City of Falls Church. The building will occupy 88,000 square feet and contain 366 parking spaces. The City of Falls Church approved the applicant's site plan on April 20th. Planners from Falls Church met with Supervisor Gross to review the site plan and solicit feedback because the development is adjacent to the Seven Corners area of the Mason District in Fairfax County. The most recent project timeline lists a March 2010 opening date. The site is located on the old Noland Oil site at 6607 Wilson Blvd.
